Looks really interesting. Curious about how the blade width will effect catch on race boards. I'll wait for some more reviews and the release of a SUP sized blade before thinking about it too seriously.

I thought it was for outriggers? Is there a SUP version?

So I just scored a mint used Vdrive from quickblade. And this was a lucky deal as my fun budget is dismal these days.
How does this price translate to aus$ because here with the euro=$, 600 is kinda nuts. I have recently sold some old boards and the new owner said it was crazy the paddle will cost more then a board.

I thought the same concidering the April 1st shipping date.. Then I noticed that JR was using one on his foiling paddle up clinics.. and I also noticed them being available for OC1's.. I then came across this vid showing a guy using one.. Not the best advertisement for them..

Oh dear.
Recovered well using thongs on the hands.
I love my QB's but reckon I'd bash my rails to death with that wide ar5e blade.

It would require a heavy adjustment in paddle stroke. I imagine you would have to have a pronounced tilt on either side to keep the paddle head away from the rails.

Still have my QB Kanaha paddle I bought in Hawaii in 2008 amazing paddles. Have 3 now. Not sure I need a stingray though
