That's a great looking wave and love that first pic , I think you could almost paddle into that on a SUP.
I love they the way they try to keep the spot secret but then a post a video on You Tube and broadcast it world wide.
This is from the article:
"The place we were at on Monday is as good as it gets," he added.
"Hawaii used to be the wave mecca around the world, but now we've got three or four big wave locations in the country and this wave spot here is one of the best in the world."
That's just waving a red flag to the rest of the world......come over here and surf. I hope he made alot of money out of that video because next time he goes out , there will probably be other teams already out getting towed in and back dooring it.
An Irish girl did an internship with us that is part of the core crew over there. She explained to me that surfing is very young in Ireland, there are very few capable surfers and even fewer that are surfing big waves. There is basically no industry. These guys try to expose everything they do in an effort to try and make a living from being pro surfers.
The cold and inconsistency are the biggest factors to stop the crowds. But if a few big name guys went over with their film crews it would be a success for the Irish guys as they would feature as well as guides and surfing hence further creating employment for themselves. I spent a lot of time in Cornwall and with Irish heritage I still kick myself for not getting over there.
