Heading to Tassie in March for a couple of weeks mainly the north and east coasts in a Campervan , any advice on where to stay and where to surf would be appreciated, never been there before but have heard only good things about it. Cheers

Hi poogsey, the north coast doesn't get much surf at all, unless you head over to Marrawah on the West coast, your best bet would be the upper east coast based around Scamander, plenty of options on that bit of coast for surf and tourist stuff.

Not many guarded spots up there poogsey, plenty of waves to go round everyone.

Thanks mate I was more concerned about some spots might not be sup friendly I have been surfing a long time and know the rules and always respect the locals, I am happy to get a few waves ,do a bit of fishing and generally have a good time, we are actually looking at moving down there I'm over the crowds and congestion where I live, cheers
