So how long from the drawing board to hitting the waves? What sort of fins setup? What's the theory behind the nose shape? Sooo many questions and soooo envious. I would love to have a shaper bring my thoughts to reality/ Keep us in the loop.

This guy

And tomos vanguard outline!

Simon from Deep is a kindred spirit and is just as keen to get this board underway as i am. Design is almost done; already have a blank at the factory. So shouldn't be to long before its in the water for a bit of a play.

5 fin plug option; placement will be determined by the final tail shape.
In theory, should have a lot of stability for a refined " high performance" sup. (90 kg rider @ 8'0 x 28" x 4")so no need for knee paddling on this one
I'll post more pics once its cut.

ha, most of us wouldn't be able to handle it. your surfing would disintegrate. as for a standup- where does a paddle fit in here

Saw a proner with this exact shape board (about 4 1/2 ft long) at the alley this morning shredding the waves, interesting to see how goes in sup size.

So why are we looking at my ironing board? Seriously some of you guys have far to much talent and ability. Reminds me of the clip where KS surfs a door while wearing a suit and holding a briefcase. You guys could give an old man an inferiority could complex. Too good

Hey Simon, I surf the 5'10" vanguard (nothing like Stu Kennedy!) but anyways have a close look at the rocker. They have quite a bit, its constant (fast like a windsurfing board) and that seems to make up for the wider tail width. I thought about making a sup board the same but never did. I rekon the rocker will be the key, not enough and that wide tail will suck but too much and it will slow down too much. Otherwise if you get the volume skightly on your lower end (me be about 95 to 100 litres) and you might be on too something. Id go 27 inches wide max.
