Join Surftech Ambassador "Dogman" and the "Pen" crew for a great weekend of winter SUP racing on the Mornington Peninsula.
Bigger and better than last year - new events include a "Champion of Champions", Dogman's SUP-X and the Keiki Cup for kids.
10km Downwind on Saturday August 10 (as per last year, the actual race course will depend on the wind conditions on the day) and Short course races on Sunday August 11 at Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron.

Lyn, Evan and I put the word out a month ago and it looks like we've already got over 10 heading south for the event. We're encouraging everyone to stay at The Boat House which is close to racing on Sunday.
5 of us drove down, 6 if you include Doggie, for this event last year and we had a great weekend. Great courses, well organised and lots of friendly crew. Some very serious and not so serious racing was had by all and the personal and interstate rivalry is already on with lots of sledging.
Planning on dragging a couple of faster paddlers down with us this year as well as the crew from "Team Kitty"

A good venue for old racers - there's lots of them in Vic and they know who they are.
We only seem old because we've been kicking your arse for years.
Was down in Vic over the weekend claiming our prize from last years event (weekend at the Big Blue Backyard) Went for a social paddle with Jeff and Lynda on Sunday Rye to Portsea. Just paddled in boardies and booties was a nice morning even jumped in the water at the end "Refreshing"
Three weeks to go! and we've been getting some great wind conditions lately - strong winds to practice downwind and then glassy evenings around Cameron's Bight.
Hoping for a more of the same on race weekend.

On a mission eh? I'll be far too bloated and slow from heaps of beer and Ferg burger from my kiwi snowboard adventure just before to be threat to anyone!!! ( I get back on the Thursday before) I may have to resort to some dirty tactics..........
