I use my Sidewinder to do everything at times and it loves to catch small reef break waves but you need to get back and bring up the nose as the rocker is not as pronounced as some of the others. Light, tough and stable.

The sunova point break looks the business but unlikely you will find a second hand board.
I knew I had seen this

Looks great - i like the round nose for pushing thru swell ... but no 2nd hand ones. Brand new is out of my affordability
thanks though. Awesome board

I'm a bit of a wimp, start to chicken out after 5 ft :(

I'll be looking forward to see some footage of you chasing a dbl overhead one day

Jimmy Lewis Bombora 12' x 27 1/2 " is a great board, yep it's a gun, but I've surfed one of these in knee high wave and its fun, 2nd hand one down here for sale now.

Bought an JL Baby Bomb after returning from Tassie last winter, the 10ft has plenty of paddle power for a light weight and surprisingly fun in the small stuff. The 12 ft Bombora would only be better, certainly more robust than a race board in the surf!

Small float on the 14'x27" Bump Rider Speed today. I love surfing this board, but it's just too much, being 6" thick and 265L. I'll probably request a custom 14' surf shape this summer. One minute plus rides all morning, going back and forth along the reef chasing reforms
