I would have thought Hawaii is pretty hard to beat! If you only have a week maybe explore your islands?

otherwise a boat trip in the Ments? If you can find a crew who'll welcome a SUP.

i would be remiss if I didn't at least mention Tofino! Cold water and need a wetsuit. At that time of year 4/3 hooded. Uncrowded breaks. Usually something to surf for just about everyone from groms to rippers. Beautiful beach breaks. No rocks. No sharks. World class restaurants. Two of my friends and neighbours live on Oahu but vacation here. Charming little town. Friendly locals. Very accepting of sup surfers. Relatively easy to get to. Fly direct to Vancouver and then a short flight to Tofino or rent an electric car in Vancouver, ferry to Nanaimo and 3 hour drive on a very challenging paved road that is insanely fun to drive with the torque of an electric. I've been to Samoa on a kite surf holiday. My travel partner surfed one day. There's definitely waves there, on the south coasts of the 2 big islands and on the north coast of Savaii. Beach fales are very cheap accommodation. There are more expensive surf camps there. The waves that I've heard of are quite challenging, so maybe not suitable for SUP. Fiji is probably better but more crowded.
I've also kitesurfed a lot in Tonga. Never seen a decent wave there, but there must be something! Actually yes, Vavau is the place!
