Anyone know where one would buy sup fins that would have a good hold on a bottom turn
? In Tweed Heads region.

I do.

I even often use smaller fins, especially the rears, on SUPs. Typically L in front and M in rear(s) for the Quobbas.

On a shortboard, your rear foot is on the fin, pushing on them.
On a SUP, you have a longer rail line, and more swing weight, so a bit more looseness in the fins is useful, if the waves are not too big.

I guess if your SUP has thick rails, you may want bigger fins to avoid spinning out. But bigger fins slow you down, and speed is very useful to keep a SUP nimble.

Quobba are more efficient than other fins, so the water flow around them both creates less drag, and more hold.

I assume you are referring to SUP. No issues in slightly over head - I am 6'4 so it would be around 7 foot :). I don't SUP in bigger waves.

I don't see why. C-drives work well at speed because they have less surface in the tip and thus tend to "foil" less.

Put large quobba's on a 9'1" creek, amazing performance , speed and hangs in on any bottom turn. Highly recommended

I went to replace the fins and saw this. Thought you would appreciate especially considering all the talk about drag in this post. I have been riding with this for as long as I can remember putting the tape on. So a good 2 months. Also, realised that front two fins for the quad set up I'm using are different sizes. The one for my forehand is slightly larger then the one for my backhand. Fins came with the board.

Thanks again colas. Tried them out today. Holy **** they were incredible coming off a bottom turn. The last 3/4 of that bottom with those fins in gives an acceleration and control well beyond anything I thought possible on that board.
