As we all know sunscreen is very slippery once it gets on your paddle, board, hands.

I am wondering if anyone has stumbled on a magical brand that does not rub off the face easily once wet?

I use surf mud zinc.
It looks like your old mum's makeup, but sticks like sh1t to a blanket.
Apparently dolphin friendly too!

I have a multi pronged attack,
Firstly always use a zinc based sunscreen not a sunscreen that penetrates the skin. Never, ever use spay on bottle sunscreen.
Make sure you get dressed in your sup gear first or you will wipe it off. Zinc on the face, hands and ears. Or wear gloves.
I use invisible inc, tan zinc, white zinc, clear zinc just make sure you can smell the earthiness when you put it on.
I only use banana boat black as it also is zinc based. Be very careful wearing sunscreen while doing water sports. Most sunscreens will fail in the water. Protection is best and use zinc as well.
Dont forget your eyes and get some polarised sunglasses,
The more you spend the less youll spend getting chopped out under the knife.

Don't forget the essential surf hat. Shades the ears, eyes and covers the head.

Is that the vertra spf 50?
Never heard of it. Just looked it up.
Might give it a go.
Try anything when you're a whitey in oz.

Yep it is sticky and probably got bad stuff in but this stuff works a treat www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M30ZDM/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 says 80 mins water resistance but it lasts way longer than that. Done 3 hour sessions in Bali with no issues.

For lips i use www.amazon.com/Banana-Boat-Sunscreen-Vitamin-3-Pack/dp/B005GHHRZI so I can re-apply out in the water

Yes, you can get it in tubes & sticks 30+ & 50+ etc.
I use it all the time during longer races and never get burned. I used it for M2O in 2016 - 6hrs 9mins on the water and not an issue.
