Need some context along with your question.

Age/weight/ability/etc etc.

I have the Placid 8'3". Awesome go to for everything board. 2ft to 6ft glassy or sloppy. It lacks a little bit of rocker but stability would be compromised with more rocker.

I am loving it.

Hey Browy, what are your stats? I'm warming to these fuller nose boards, they look like good user friendly all rounders.
Hey Guzcre, sorry for the hijack

I would love to hear feedback on both boards.
I'll offer these thoughts
Based on studying the FLOW shape and sizing
and owning 2 Placids - 9'1 and 8'10

My general statement:
The Placid is a very good board in sizes 8'10 and under.... less than good at 9'1 and bigger (more below)

FLOW 2.0 seems like it will be a good board in all sizes..... based on my experience with the KANGA, which has similar numbers
I will get my first look at the FLOW 2.0 in November.

I have found that some boards seem to "Size up" better than others.

My 9'1 Placid seemed too big for me.
It was very comfortable, super stable, but the nose just felt too big and I found it got in my way and was sluggish.
I gave it a number of sessions in different conditions and just could not sync up with it in any way.

I ordered the 8'10 Placid because I wanted to give the board a fair chance.... based on what others had said.
MY 8'10 is perfect... it is a very good board that has become one of my favorites, even though I am now up to a horrifying 111 kg.
It surfs very well... snappy and super fun. Fast enough, but not exceptionally fast.
Very easy stability with the deck completely wet.
I'll be riding it today!

I would love to hear from guys with bigger Placids and have had a better experience than I did.

I'd really like some in depth info on the FLOW 2.0 in any size, as well.
People are asking me and I have nothing to tell them.
I am really liking the numbers on the FLOW 2.0... solid width and low volume. Proportions and pictures look good!

I'm hoping to have my flow 2 8'2x29 in a week or two. I will be giving it a good crack and will be coming back with a little report.

I am 53yrs young and 85kgs fight weight. Been on a SUP for about 4yrs now and came from zero surf experience.

I am on my 7th board, the Placid will hold me for a while now as my "go to" everyday board.

I have a JL Worldwide 8"1 for the glassy mornings. This board rips but has a very small sweet spot for balance.
