Just spent a couple of days at Moffat beach on the sunny coast. Saturday morning I got the final dregs of the cyclone swell. It was about 5 foot on the sets. Here's a couple I got. GoPro never does the swell size any justice... Unless the footage is of Jaws or Nazare

Moffs is my local break its a fun wave hey. I went down yesterday to catch the incoming tide and remaining swell. Was a fun session. Wish I had the chance to get out Saturday.

You're a lucky guy. Wife and I are seriously considering relocating up there. What time were you out there? I was out from 5:30 am to 7:00

I was down there from 8-11. I usually try to avoid it at low tide as it breaks close to the rocks. Seemed good yesterday though at low.

Moffs is a cracker winter spot being protected from the Southerly winds..

You're right, those GoPros suck the fun out of a good session if you let them... The number of times I have been out in sizeable waves, well overhead, in challenging conditions, and then GoPro makes it look like a walk in the park...

When you say 5', is that Hawaiian 5' or they were almost head high? Just curious.

The waves looked great though. Perfect conditions. I am jealous...

Well the bigger sets were a fair bit over head high. So call that what you will.

Zeusman I was out at moffs that day I remember talking to ya when I wasn't swimming I was on the 7'10 starboard pro . That day was a cracker vids don't do it justice we have had a few really good days there since ??

I'm glad you been getting a few good days in. It's been very ordinary down here unfortunately.

We had a couple of week of nothing this weekends beeen mint wind been off shore since Thursday night just turned southerly now Sundaynight should wake up to a good south swell and off shore wind moffs will be pumping
