I snapped 3 leashes on my 9-6 BM in the last year. Needless to say i was sick of buying the things! So i went back to basics (actually did it as a goof). I went to Bunnings, bought 20m of cheap, colorful 9mm nylon cord. I put a swivel at the board end and drilled a hole through the leash attachment point of my knee strap and tied Bowlines on both ends. I fully expected that i would be tripping over it and getting tangled in a ropey mess! Well surprise surprise, when it gets wet it trails straight behind. It sits flat on the deck with no loops to trip over. six months later and I am still on my first one I love it! And I have enough rope for 6 more. I do take a bit of ribbing on the beach but I am at an age that I don't worry about that.
say goodbye to your foot when that rope wraps around it and the board gets a solid pull.
