Been out of the water for a month now with the shoulder starting to get bored , so I shot this video of my youngest daughter Bonnie (Bon Piros) and her mates .I'm following behind on a skateboard with my 5D camera on a steady rig. Great aspect you could get a similar result with a Go pro.

LOL yeah that's why I won't buy the kids a penny they are death traps, there's a good reason why they became extinct.

Mongo foot pusher ....classic

Great angle for the water, but I couldn't help thinking about a day 30 odd years ago when I do rode my SP 370 Suzuki to Kawana Waters Shopping centre to pay a doctors bill. Just wearing a lid, boardshorts and bongers. I learned 3 lessons that day, 1./ always wear foot protection at least. 2./Don't trust car drivers when you are doing 60 kph in a carpark. 3./ Make sure the doctors is open so you can at least get your wounds attended to. Ain't I a genius??
PS. Don't tell your mates what really happened.

Certainly is Mac but they are pretty used to us there ,I grew up just down the road I have been terrorising that place for over 40 years . I'm always going to the bottle shop on the skatey and yeah Jan didn't even think about the shoulder until after I did the shot.

Hate to admit it but Bonnie got the ole Mongo style off the ole man.

Great vid.

I thought you'd been pretty quiet Rob.
What did you do to your shoulder?

Have you tried a Carve Board?
Check the video of them in action at www.carveusa.com

I dislocated my shoulder at Lennox in the last big swell (high velocity dislocation) my arm came completely out and was flapping around like spaghetti luckily when I got smashed by the next set it somehow went back in. 20 years of water polo probably saved my life treading water with no arms , I had no control of my right arm and had to hold it with my left getting smashed by the following waves. I had a mate near by (Clarky) who got caught inside on the previous wave he took my paddle and I laid on the board with my right arm tucked under my leg and paddled in with my left arm.Tons of damage but it's healing well hopefully avoid going under the knife. Luckily I was half fit when it happened and had some good muscle to help hold it all together to heal.

Re the skatey I wasn't on a carver like the ones you posted but on flex deck cruiser.

I have had a shoulder reco after a few dislocations. At the time I saw the ortho that looked after half the AIS swimmers and the ACT Brumbies and he basically told me that if you were over 25 and had a dislocation of the should you will be going under the knife at some stage.

Mongo style... if it's good enough for Bob Burnquist, it's good enough for me.
