South Australia is pretty isolated, think south coast with no one around. It has big noah's and the water can be muddy and cloudy. My advice is to recruit a local. Also a paddle around Glenelg to meet the locals (that is of the noah) variety is also recommended, I only visit in summer but I've been around to Victor Harbour and there are plenty of Sup riders around. Not much wave action and a bit on the chilly/sharky side for me.
That said for a road trip its friggin awesome, clean beaches everywhere, good food, great wineries, lots of nice ladies, great beer, surf shops a plenty, good driving roads.
Yeah the big Noah thing is a concern but at the end of the day, we are trying to chase some uncrowded waves and nothing screams uncrowded like isolated and sharky haha. Any recommendations on must go's for food etc?
