Looking at. Performance board and being lent toward the box shapes however the board you are riding there appears to be something I would be more comfortable on I feel !!

I am heavy on my back foot and have always surfed swallow tails up to 7 ft long in a hybrid shape traditional surfing.

Boards in the vid are
Blue 8'2 x 27
Orange 7'11 x 27
Both Rounded squares
A lot looser than the swallow tails I've been riding prior.
N a bit more foam positioned in the area infront of my paddling stance position to the nose

Been mucking around with the soloshot for a while now
Had a few hits n a few misses with it
Takes time to set it up properly
And occasionally it has a few balls ups( mainly when it's pumping surf) n filmed a whole session with me locked on just off the camera screen n nearly cried watching the playback n I'm nowhere to be seen (my fault not aligning it up right)
But it has taken a lot of trial n error to get the right angles to film so the unit doesnt have to work too hard and make the filming jerky n sh1thouse
Great to see all your f@rk ups n occasionally capture a few gem moments
I got to get a better camera as the old one I'm using isn't great but still works(touch wood)
Can't wait to get my hands on the next generation soloshot as it looks sick

hey doggydog: are you syncing the tx and rx from the water, by looking for the red light on shore, then moving until it starts to fade away? for the life o me, all i see is red, never see the fade, so i never know exactly when to push the sync button. i've taken to doing the link up on shore but it's kind of a hassle too. how do you do it? got any other tips?

Dead right mate ,so over the porno selfie pro , I was out surfing one spot on the weekend just gone and couple of fellas had the old porno pro thing happen , and all I could think is why ????? But these new soloshot rigs look the goods , hey dog man is your unit solo1 or solo2 I was just browsing there web site , must say pretty keen !! Ha ha and the music old boy , just for a second there I thought you had become a bit more cultured with the manic rambling bass of mr clay pool !! Then boom back to metal mayhem ha ha classic!!!!!

Love your vids. You've got to have one of the best power jams in the bizz, both fore & Backhand.
I've always semi thought of getting a solo shot but now I think I may just invest.
