Too bad about the SS3... I haven't used mine for a little while; mostly because I normally surf about 1 km off shore, but there is the frustration factor too. Hard to understand why it can work differently at different times...

Just did the firmware update with the new calibration technique and it seemed worse

Classic Soloshot 3 story - worked a few times at the start then just goes stupid. So frustrating hey?

What settings were you using when it worked well?

Ocean, bottom and tight. Have not changed anything and the bloody thing stopped following. Did the update and it now follows but to the right of the subject and does not zoom in tight. Just a wide shot with you in the bottom left corner.

Great footage Hilly. so clear for so far away. Are you trying to make sure you capture those dolphins when they try to take you out again?

Not a big fan, very wobbly and makes the wave look tiny.
