Rippin it up in your own private cove. How nice is that. And the black board looks cool.

Nice riding and spot. Do you think it is better to paddle heel side for backside waves? For bigger or harder drops I've seen a few instructional tips that say you should always try to catch the wave paddle toeside, but not sure what is best if the drop is challenging backside. I have a habit of catching waves paddling on my heelside I'm trying to break, it usually happens when I'm on the shoulder and paddling heelside brings me to the peak for a frontside takeoff. In theory I should switch and take the last strokes toeside before dropping but its hard to do if you are feeling wobbly. I do feel that I paddle with a lot less power on my heel side.

I hadn't given that much thought ..because it all happens naturally ...but if its really steep waves yes toe side ,,

unless your rubber man .....i tend to stay square on until i catch the wave ..or just have my left foot a half way back ..

yes try not to rock the boat too much on take off and catching ..

Noice Tardy, makes me want to give a smaller board a crack again ha ha

Looks like such a fun wave and with no one around it completes the dream!
