I am older and my feet need support. But the last time I went out on sup, my tevas did not flex easily to help me get up. Are there any shoes that will help me be more stable on a sup, plus able to support my arches. AMy help from the older folks or someone that has a good answer for me to continue sup/ THANKS.

From time to time I have had problems with feet - I have very high arches and with that my feet are structurally very stiff. When they have played up in the past I have had some success with Fila Skeletoes. They're similar to Vibram Five Fingers but are sturdier and offer more arch support (and the smaller two toes fit in one 'finger').

That said - foot problems are a common complaint of newbies. With time on the water SUPing, in due course your feet might relax a bit and adapt. Without knowing what your foot issue is, there are some foot and calf stretches that might help you, suggest find a good physio for advice.

Quiksilver do a great drainage shoe in the AG47 range ,I bought a pair in Bali and love them ,ive bought a back up pair here in Queensland at the sales way cheaper than Indo,,they would be perfect on a jet ski or a sup in my view , I use mine to ride my Honda to the shops or Duranbah ,no socks rain no props haven't tried surfing in them yet but I love my Indo reef boots ,but honestly think these would be better once used to them, worth a hunt

Zhiks are great, super soft and flexible. On the downside, they're expensive and not super long lasting. But, I haven't found anything better. Keep in mind, more support and cushioning = less stable. I remove the insoles in mine which gives booty like stability and traction.

Wimpy, i just fall in when my feet get a bit sore, crocs can work, or I like neoprene booties and rip curl reef booties. Have you tries the nash grip, its kinda more tacky than others, my starboard grip is way less comfortable to stand on over time.
Ive seen those quicksilver shoes too,
Vibram do a shoe for sup which might be your answer,
us.vibram.com/shop/fivefingers/men/watersports/signa---mens-M02.html?dwvar_M02_color=Black%20%2F%20Yellow
check it out and also any good boat shoe form a yachting background should be tacky enough.
