Depending on conditions on the day there sill be a shortened course for Fun boards and those giving distance paddling a try for the first time.

This event is about having a go! The goal is to have prizes for EVERYONE who participate in the Scotland Island SUP race and short fun course.

The Family Festival atmosphere will centre around the Expo and Demo area, bars and restaurants that overlook the magnificent Pittwater.

The event is FREE to enter with Gold Coin donations for lessons, demo and Time Trail Challenge going to a major community charity TBA.

Registration for the Scotland Island race will be open next week. There will be a cost to enter, TBA.
Buoyancy vests will be mandatory for the Scotland Island race. Vest will be availabe to hire on the day.

Parking is available at both the RMYC and the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club Newport. Shuttle buses will run all day.

The Sydney SUP Expo and Scotland Island Race are part of the Pittwater Festival being run from the Newport RMYC all through March.

TIME TRIAL
The Time Trial will run from 11am. Race your friends, race your mates or take the whole family around the course!
You can follow Chuck Patterson, Riggs Napoleon and some of Australia's top paddlers, stroke by stroke as they race around the Time Trial course

JUST ANNOUNCED: Newport RMYC is sponsoring Trophies for 1st Man. 1st Women, 1st Master - 45+ and 1st Junior
in the Time Trial. Trophies for the TT will be presented at 3pm.

AA, a few people are concerned about racing Chuck and Riggs due to them being high profile paddlers. Can you start the race just as Chuck is taking one of his famous "selfies" and if you tell Riggs there's a group of 16 year old girls on the wharf he'll completely forget to race.
That should even things out a bit.

Looks like being a big event. Even JPP have cancelled the time trial for the day.

Can you give me 20 minutes notice of race as I'll be sipping lattes on Casso's floating palace.

Hey folks, any guidance on the bus pick-up timing! I don't want to miss the race briefing.... Looking forward to it....Although it has just occurred to me we are going to be paddling on one side around most of the island!

7:00-8:00 Race competitors can drop boards at event site (RMYC) and then Park at Porters reserve - shuttle very 15 minutes.

3.00pm Official presentation of trophies for Scotland Island Race, Short Course and Time Trials.

Please note the following update to the Funboard Short Course race.

We will make as many Funboards as possible available to borrow for the Funboard short course.

You may also borrow a BIC One Design or a Naish One to race the Short Course.
You will NOT however be eligible to win divisions or trophies as they are Race boards.

If you would like to walk away with a Trophy this Sunday, there are a few holes in the divisions at this early stage

Thanks for a fun day. Very inclusive layout for all involved. The pros motored around the island and flying in sprints as well as plenty of first timers racing or just trying sup. The Yacht club and local waterways turning it on all day.
