Hi All,

Although this Sunday is not a scheduled SUPSA Club surfing Round, Geoff Barden, myself and the rest of the SUPSA events committee are inviting you to an “Expression Session” of SUP Surfing this Sunday 12th February. This day will be perfect for those surf paddlers looking to refine their competition tactics and maneuvers in a mock contest nature. For those who are looking to learn new skills or even catch their first wave, Sunday is an ideal opportunity to do this.

Geoff will be designing the morning around some friendly competition of surfing, a “Tag Team” relay and some basic skill and surf awareness for those wanting to learn and get more out of their surfing.

A BBQ breakfast is also on the agenda as this day is also an OPEN day for the SUPSA Club. All club members, friends and families are welcome. We will have on hand SUPSA Club Membership Forms for all of those wishing to join or renew their membership.

Time: 5:30am
*Will decide on surfing venue once all at Alley!

Will there be boards to demo or is it just BYO?

Its great to see SUPSA put this event to improve the quality of SUP surfers out in the ocean, so if you have the time to make it down, you should take up this opportunity regardless of what level of SUP surfing you are at. The more people that show up the likely hood the more you can learn off others.

I don't imagaine anyone with demo boards as such but there will be a great range of privately owned boards and sizes that I'm sure club members won't mind lending out if asked!
Use Richo's board as it sound like he'll be hanging around the BBQ hooking into the bacon and egg sangas!

Yeah Jay,
This is what this day is all about. There are a lot of SUP surfers in and around the Goldy (and Lennox) of all ages and abilities. SUPSA has put this event on as a spare of the moment decision for anyone who is looking to improve their own surfing abilities, advice on wave catching, competition, etiquette and just to promote the social aspect of the sport.
We are not claiming to be professionals but I believe the guys and girls that will be present have a great deal of experience and knowledge that is invaluable to pass on to anyone willing to improve their free surfing or competition surfing.
Hope to see everyone at the Alley Car Park at 5:30am Sunday morning!
