The bar has been lifted.

If you want to be tough these days you'll need to take your $500K yacht and surf big waves on outer bombies.

Insane - thanks for posting. That bloke is a legend - I thought his nose would dig in for sure. Maybe those round noses do go ok on the steep drops then ? ha ha ha ha

Plenty of entertaining bar crossings to watch on utube......not really something you want to be doing with a half million dollar boat.....unless it belongs to someone else

That guy in America is an idiot.

The guy in the Cat was just last week from what I understand. He knew the risks and showed complete confidence in his boat and his own ability to steer it on the wave. Amazing really, I wonder how long he has been at it?

yeh i guess he did know all that but he only made it by luck.... at one point he would have had almost no steering in the water. Just not worth risking lives of his crew and he did...on the other hand gutsy call and having made it gotta love it :)

do you have any background on the USA footage to make that claim???? Looks to me like the Coast Guard, and from what (little) I understand they have some of, if not the toughest conditions in certain areas. They train in them regulary as they have to rescue in the regulary...

Yep, I screwed up, watched the vid on my Iphone and thought it said motor cruiser. It was the lifeguard and they obviously pull it off well on a bigger screen. Nice work Detective Sergio, do you have a background in defending the wrongly accused?
