Currently living in a 2 bed townhouse with a small 15' courtyard, and no lock up garage - storing 4 x SUP's has become a bit of a nightmare. Throw in 3 or 4 kites & kite boards, it's all a bit of a nightmare.

We have some very limited options to hang from the pergola roof.

If crew have any images &/or ideas about SUP racks, I'd greatly appreciate them.

And yes, purchasing a bigger place is probably also on the cards....soon!

if that pic is of your court yard, just get some wall mounted racks that the boards lay across horizontally. If you then are worried about security while you are not there, get the longboard locks that fit into the leg rope attachment and lock to racks

I've got their 3 stacker bolted to the side of the garage wall, with a 9' Fanatic, 10 6 Nalu and a 12 6 Javelin all fitting in nicely. (gotta juggle the fin overlaps)

haven't got the SUP yet (soon tho) but need a rack solution to go on Gyprock/steel stud walls in new games room. Can't make a mess out of the place or wifey will have my guts..
Have looked at links in this thread for wall hanging but open to idea of free standing but must be able to slide a small couch under the boards.
What boards?

10ft SUP (most likely size I will buy) * SUP may end up with kayak slung on T-Rack style under open garage so need to make pinch proof!

I have just used a shelvit double slot system for gyprock walls at home.

I used the double slot upright secured to the studs in the wall and extended the brackets slightly by adding some pine to each one.

All up it cost less than $100 for 4 fully adjustable shelves from Bunnings. I can move them up and down, vary the gaps and even add more as required.

Hmm.. good economical suggestion but not sure about gangly bits catching on boards and also rampaging squids in room knocking shelves that can pop out of posi.


On a tangent: Anybody slinging SUP and/or kayaks under garage roof able to share lock up tips to keep errant ice fiends from heading to Gumtree with my beloved water toys?
