Got a few weeks in Mooloolaba with the SUP over christmas time, wondering if anyone can recommend some good breaks. Can surf good i guess, ride a 8'6" Hobie CP Torque.
Also in Wollongong for a week or so after that so any breaks there too would be mint!
Find it hard to find SUP semi friendly breaks, hate to stumble across some surf rage like in a post above haha

From Mooloolaba beach you can paddle to the break off Pt Cartwright, but it's very much a short boarder spot unless the the surf is huge.
Best and closest is between Maroocydore Surf club and the river mouth, lots of space and also in the river by the caravan park. Lots of other SUP riders out most days.
Alex headland can be busy with surfers, then all the way along from Pt Cartwright to Moffats beach is another option. Hope you enjoy.
