Anyone fished from their SUP? Was thinking of trolling behind the board. Any tips about lures, lines or otherwise that could help me land some dinner?

You should check out the Starboard Fisherman board. It has mounts for rods and is apparently a super smooth glide.

yea, I do from time to time. I find it a good platform to flick soft plastics from. Also throw a few crab pots in from time to time as well. I made a belt out of webbing with a rod holder on the back and a hook on the side. looks kinda funny when your paddling cause it looks like you have an antenna sticking out your back but its functional. and the hook on the side holds your paddle when your casting......experiment...have fun!

I drag a little magic mullet lure from my naish glide. great for flat head and bream.
I use a spear gun rubber that is around my ankle than trail about 20-30 metres of line out and keep all my gear in a shoulder bag.

what sort of fish ya chasing
I have used mine often to get to bars to fish for all sorts.
I would NOT troll behind me with any lure cause there are many animals to send you to the bottom

Funny statement, obviously no good for mullet or no mullet in your area.

I've built a SUP dedicated to fishing but still haven't finished it.
Jonathan, I might try get it done over the next week or 2. Is that OK?

^^^^I remember that photo too, thanks for digging it up.

I heard that the snapper season is going off in Melbourne - anyone get on to any.

I've been fishing since I was a kid and I believe I'm in the last generation that will enjoy fishing as an unregulated recreation. Come to think of it, are there any fun unregulated recreations left other than sup?

What do you other breezers think...

Woke up to a dead calm sea today and fishing looked like the best option. Here are a few shots of the session.
