Hi mate,
Plenty of people do Botany Bay runs. Get in touch with Botany Bay Sup Club. Check them on Facebook.
they have regular club meets and DW runs followed by a feed and beers at the sailing club.

Hi Paul,

Regularly doing DW in Botany Bay. Some of the best downwinding going round! The best thing is that pretty much no matter the wind direction, there is a good-sized run available.

There is plenty of crew around. Get in touch with the club on facebook as Kieran says... Tuesday night paddles - DW where possible. If not, you'll meet plenty of folk who are around to get out through the week/weekend.

+1 I've just moved to the area. Had a downwind run a few weeks back from kyeemagh to la perouse in a strong north westerly. Fantastic run and a great place to downwind. Waves are all uniform and you can figure out a run no matter which way the wind is blowing

Thanks for all the responses. I'll definitely touch base on Facebook and get down there. It makes perfect sense but I've never seen anyone out paddling when I've gone past.

Thanks again.

Tuesday nights when daylight savings kicks in is the time for club nights... outside of that the bay is good when the wind blows but there hasn't been much in the last couple of months... except for today of course...
