Our new club had our first meeting last weekend at beautiful Crowdy Head. A great bunch of people of all ages and backgrounds got together to enjoy the sport we all love.
This is the first movie I've ever made. I had no tripod so all video is hand-held. I will get better. Enjoy.
Buddy looked like he might have had a bit of SUP for lunch trying to float the lip of that close out at the 3 minute mark.. Looked like a super fun weekend..
Attention - all Central Coast SUPers. SUP Central is having their 1st official meeting on Sunday October 31st at North Entrance. Meet at Dunleith Caravan Park grassed area on the northern side of the channel. Point score to start from that meeting.
We are having four (4) surf/flat water meetings per year and two (2) weekends away, making six meets per year. In the future, overseas trips and longer trips away could be on the cards, depending upon interest.
Fees are $70 (single) or $100 (family) for the year up until June 2011. This will entitle you to a shirt or hoody. You must be financial to go in the comps.
For more information just pm me (send me a private email).
Thanks Daz For the Video and all your help on the weekend I should have Rik,s Photos in the next day or two and will post them as well. See you in the water Rod SO GLAD YOU GOT Glenn C,s big turn and Burn (about 309min mark) He is out of the water for a few weeks but should be ready for the next Comp!!!
I just wish I'd zoomed in a bit more as it looked like a classic wipeout. I think we need a 'Wipeout of the Year' award at our first presentation night next year. To that end I'll try to get video evidence of as many as I can to make a wipeout tape (bloopers reel) for Preso Night. That should get the natives restless!
Glade you guys had a great time at one of our favourite local spots. Wish we could have been around all weekend to get on the water with everyone. Come back again anytime. And big thanks to The Paddle Shack for bringing up some boards for everyone to demo and for donating some prizes.
