Hey All,

SPSC CONTEST #1 IS ON THIS WEEKEND.

The first contest of the season is on this Sunday.
Rego will be open from 7:15am at the North end of the Palmie car park.
In order to make entry on the day easier can you please log onto the Tidy Club web site before hand and pay your membership.
Early online entries will enable us to organise heats before Sunday and give you an opportunity to know who you're up against and in what heat.
Please follow the instructions below. Log onto accounts.tidyhq.com/users/sign_in or follow the link below. Hit the "Membership" icon and register your new Tidy Club account.
You can register for the day or for your yearly membership. A one off contest entry for this weekend is $25. If you elect to pay the $25 entry this amount can be deducted from your yearly $90 membership as long as the balance is paid by the October contest. Please sign up before Sunday to make rego easier. Limited cash transactions will be available on the day. A computer will be available to log onto Tidy Club to pay your membership. Your annual $90 SPSC membership entitles you to the following benefits:

- The new club Tee shirt which will be available in late October.
- Surfing Comps, 9 in total. (with single entry at $25 per contest, this is a saving of $15 per contest. Across all 9 that is a saving of $135)
- Training - Access to free Tuesday/Thursday morning SUP training sessions out of Clontarf and Brownwater.
- JPP discounts - Various membership benefits at Jamieson Park Paddle, (training and time trials)
- Ocean and flat water racing events - Membership benefits at selected downwind and flat water racing events.
- Family fun days
- Demo Equipment - Access to sponsors demo equipment on the designated demo days across the season. This is a great opportunity to play around on some of the latest and greatest that the industry has on offer.

It's going to be a fun day, and always has a great vibe and excellent level of surfing. See you on Sunday crew yeeewwwww

Yeeeew. Sounds great Pete, can't wait.

Might need a walk up to The Joey to escape the nor-Easter?

The way the graphs are moving, I am predicting it NW-W for the wind, and pumping!! Going to be awesome :)

See you all there.

Good move with often a nice wave? (Also makes it a lot easier for me to walk across from the yacht! )

The forecast has been moving that way, with the west kicking in towards the later rounds?

Hi Guys,
Please try and enter on line via Tidy club before the day if possible. That will enable heats to be done earlier and make rego quicker.. There will be a computer at the event site to register on Sunday but this could be a bit slow if everyone waits until Sunday morning.

Just found the single comp entry option. Great idea.

As an incentive to register early for this weekend's comp, the 1st 30 people to enter, in addition to the benefits Pete highlighted earlier will also get an additional T- shirt. It will be the current SPSC tee.
Available to the first 30 people to go on line at Tidy Club and pay their 12 month membership.

<div class="tlAboveUnit">UPDATE FOR SUNDAYS CONTEST
We have been keeping an eye on conditions for our first event on Sunday. As safety and quality of waves are a priority to make sure everyone has fun competing, It has been decided to move the location to Nth Bilgola to try to keep out of the prevailing NE winds in the morning. Start time is the same, register between 7.15-8.00am.
There is going to be a fun NE swell running, so get down there early and register if you have not done so online already. (Maybe bring an umbrella) yeeewww

Game on, Been checking Palmy and she's all straight at the moment, so good call with Nth Bog. It's a lot of fun there in a NE.

Any chance some nice person could give me a lift from Manly to the new location Sunday? I was originally planning to walk over from Pittwater and don't have a car in Sydney.

Still think the wind is going to go Nor-west early! North bog is looking pretty good. There's a good powerful left pumping out of the corner which will get better as the swell goes more NE. Yew, see you all out there :)

Well done everyone in very difficult conditions. Good decision to move to Bog. New board members did a great job and tasty treats were much appreciated.
Great effort Shane winning on his first visit to SPSC on the Laird with just two waves in the final.
I will always remember the looks on every ones faces going no place fast on the inside for most of the heats and everyone falling in repeatedly out the back.

Bugger, that last was after the buzzer?

Thanks all for the great day and welcoming atmosphere. You guys and girls have a top club happening. Stoked too you all ran the comp despite the bleak early weather.

Big thanks again to Even, Fee and Jill for helping me out with transport after the change of venue.

Needless to say, I can't wait for the first 10' comp.

Looks like the mandatory paddle out equaliser?

Let's start a thread about our leg rope shoot-out!

A few shots from the Final. Some of the hardest conditions to date IMO. An amazing effort by all. Well done to Pete and the new committee, you guys put on an awesome day.

I didn't hang around for long as I was trying to get images of both SPSC events yesterday, the surf event and JPP time trial. Here's a few I managed to get.

Give me a pose like this and I can't help but post it.
