Hi guys and girls
I'm hoping someone can help me with a board that I purchased. It's a Robert August SUP that I purchased for $250....bargain but I can't find any information about it. I can't find anything online about it and I've contacted the Robert August shop In California but they couldn't help and said it was possibly a custom. It's an amazing board but it would be good to know something about it. Any help would be appreciated.

I do not use it much these days due to kite foiling and windwing foiling.
But who know there may be a day just right for it.

I'll have a go. I think it is an early SUP. Maybe 2010ish. No handle. For the day they were a decent board. I know somebody with one or similar and same dimensions. He says good glide and longboard style surfing. Shapes have moved on since then but for the price it is a good deal. I recently bought an old Angulo Shakka 14ft for $250. Great price to go for an easy paddle.

I think Angulo were ahead of their time and low level marketing did not help.
I demoed some and to me many thin, shortish wide boards are now that design

Robert August 'This is what I paddle'
Good for flat water paddling but not so good for surfing being the first generation designs.
We still use it today.

As you show the volume from the deck can you show the same kind of view from bottom then the rocker line profile too ? she really deserves to be watch ;-)
Really love all those lines and the star tail too.

I know Sean Wilde was making custom Robert August longboards under licence in Australia a while back (I got a very nice 9'4" off him). Maybe he did a SUP or two as well and one made it all the way to California - or there was probably a shaper over there making them too.

Great buy, nice looking board! Probably earlier than 2010, cos Robert August was making sups with handles in that year.
Check out this guy on an 11'6" Robert August sup, carving up tiny beach break:
