Recently purchased a starboard Advanti 11x36 for my partner and I to share and have determined that we don't want to haha.

Any suggestions for a second all rounder for myself I am 180cm tall and inbetween 70/80kg.

Also is there any hidden gems in the southwest to go paddleboarding , we are in australind.

The Advanti is a big boy board, do you enjoy the board? Are you doing any surfing or is it just for touring/fitness purposes? It would help to narrow down choices for your size

My partner needed the Advanti due to his size 6'3 and 120kg, I enjoy using the board

Will be using another board mainly for flat water and cruising but wouldn't mind giving surfing a go so ideally something I can progress with.

Not too wide to enjoy touring but wide enough to be comfortable in light surfing.

9'6 or 10' Atlantis Halo.
Fast on the flat.
Fast on small waves.
Cheap.

Said it before and will say it again. Starboard Whopper 10'2"x34. Don't be fooled by the width it surfs well unless you are a very serious carver. Good in flat water as well. A bit of rocker so it handles chop nicely, though it does slow it down a tad in flat ( to be expected). The Litetech version is the better option ( unless they make a carbon one). Get a 9" plug in centre fin for the flat water and use the 3 fin set for surf.

Some good, cheap options at Surfboard Warehouse if you don't mind a trip up to Scabs.
Evoke if you want a more surf orientated shape to progress with. Few different size options that would suit.

Starboard Whopper 10x34x174L Lite Tech or CMP Crossover 10'?32"?170L We have both in the family The Whopper is more surf orientated but paddles well with a single centrefin. The Crossover is more flatwater orientated. Both are around 10Kg so easy to carry.
