Now that you've everyone has recovered after the Great Melb Paddle, it's time for Round 4 of " King of the Cerb" series.

This Sunday Dec 18th.





At this stage it looks as though we should expect relatively mild to warm conditions, but a possible blustery north/northeast wind [ dead offshore at least!]


Registration is from 7am, with the race start at 8am. Cost - $10 / must be a Sup Vic member.

Then at 1pm, it's the Sup Vic Xmas Party, again at HMB Slsc for an afternoon of novelty races, Santa on a sup, BBQ, music and a few VB's.

Winds East to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots tending north to northeasterly during the morning at 15 to 25 knots. Seas 0.5 to 1.5 metres. Weather The chance of thunderstorms late in the evening.

Heh Rps with what the conditions have been like over the last few races, tomorrows conditions look like a sup [walk] in the park

Personally I am glad we are starting early, BOM forecast has winds at 45 km/hr building to 60 km/hr by midday. It seems the RPS series is continuing its blustery theme

A big thanks to Warwick and RPS for lending me a board for the day. It was a great race and good conditions, had a ball might have to work on some endurance so I don't fade so much at the end. Thanks again Warwick

After a lengthy waiting period, the weather gods finally smiled upon us to produce a morning fit for a paddle race.

Under threatening skies, but balmy conditions, almost 50 paddlers turned out for Rd 4 of our 5 race series. Pretty good numbers considering the time of year.

There may have been a few dusty paddlers amongst the fleet, but you could sense everyone had come to race.

The standard of racing in Victoria is steadily on the improve and with the course providing a series of turns as well as a beach transition on each lap, the competitors were pushed for the entire race.

- Stu Thomas for completing his first race and staying upright for the 1 hr duration.

- PT and Mark Bradtke showing a sign of unity by holding hands and coming across the line for equal 4th place. Their race within a race was a highlight.

- Luke French , for making the trek from the Goldie for the second time this month to race in Victoria and making top 5.

- Lucy Bell for paddling at race pace for the 60 mins on a 9 ft G. Lopez surf sup and beating a few men along the way and resisting the offer of a 12'6" mid-race.

- Cam Hosking for coming back from the wilderness to post a second strong result in as many weeks.

Thanks for the lend of the Fanatic Warwick. Now that I have my spanking new 12'6" x 29.5" Starboard Race, it will be interesting to see how it goes in comparison.
