The 2015 Immerse SUP & Paddle Festival will be split into two separate weekends. The Marathon, Community Marathon and Technical Racing will be held in Brisbane (location to be confirmed) on the 29th - 30th of August. The SUP Surfing (qualifying) and Community SUP Surfing (non-qualifying) will be located on the Gold Coast on the 18th - 19th of July

Does anyone know if a sup australia (supa) membership is enough or do you need to join surfing Queensland?

No Matty you have to be a member of Surfing Australia it cost $50 and you get 3 free months subscription to Coastwatch site plus a T-shirt and for an extra $6 you get insurance to cover you in the water anytime anywhere.

Just phoned Surfing Q and at this stage they can run the event on Saturday , unless there is a surge of nominations before the 16th ,Saturday will be the go .

What's the swell forecast looking like

This is a bit crystal ball but i't's been pretty consistent and looking at swell period and direction later in the week good chance 3 + foot and clean as long as Northerlies hold off. This time of year we generally get Westerly early before it switches , fingers crossed.

After 4 days of lake pacific ocean got to work to find this

Just drove from work , crossed the currumbin bridge and thought id see a lake , it was pumpingdont know where that swell come from , if my body wasnt still trying to thaw out from thismornings training session id be out their

Think its one of those rare ones where the north wester hits a big sth swell and bends it in had one 6 mths ago 1ft with 6ft +sets every 10 min. P.s. still at work and its still building

Surfers has some really good banks it would great to hold it there. Just spoke Surfing Queensland they can go as far North as the spit Entries have been extended until this Friday 10am , draw will be posted around lunch time on Friday.
