Friday isn't a no go yet.. High tide is morning 07:30 to 8:00 it really just depends if theres wind overnight into the morning. or do a late friday arvo run finishing at 7pm before sun goes down. though I can't do that late this Friday.
could easily be putting in at Cleveland around the high tide time in the morning. (given there is 20knots of wind early on)
Note: Often the bay isn't windy until lunch time but long range on the BOM site says winds increasing 25 knots thurs night sometimes that wind holds through the night and keeps going in the morning.
the last couple runs you GC guys have done up here we haven't started until after high tide.
The good thing about Moreton bay is theres the northside too.
I know to far for you GC guys to drive but a Pinkenba north side of brissy river mouth to redcliffe can be run in dead low tide as its deep from the river mouth right to one of the beaches in redcliffe or deep access boat ramp at clontarf woody point. or into the mouth of pine river to finish at brighton if its very South East wind.
This northside run I actually love on low tide it seems to be nice and clean straight bumps and you go over some sandbanks that stand up and run for days.
The drive isn't much longer either its only 30 mins from gateway to redcliffe in normal traffic at worse. then 35 minutes back to launch spot at the mouth of the river.
its 15k as below on first map. but to woody point its been 17k every time ive done it. if very south wind I would push up to scarborough and make it a 25km run.
