After a little advice,
I bought a Coreban Fusion 9ft from PJ a couple of weeks ago, love the board etc etc but yesterday noticed a small dink in the paint on the nose and have rubbed it down and repaired the teeny mark but now I'm not sure what to reprint it with. Is regular car spray paint ok or could I use anything special? It's only a tiny repair, I'll try and add a pic if that helps.

2 pack epoxy paint works well. Have used nail polish on smaller chips really hard not to leave brush marks on bidder sufraces though.

+1 on the query here. My Coreban's gel coat is chipped to an inch of it's life!

No that is not epoxy that is Polyester resin based. Epoxy and Polyester don't like each other. If the polyester resin makes contact with the boards inner foam core it will eat it. Have you ever poured petrol or thinners on a cheap foam esky?
Try it to find out what happens

just get a spray can from you local hardware shop and paint it. A clear coat over the top stops the colour getting scratched as much.

Hi Stumpi I use auto touch up acrylic spray cans. Super quick drying, stick on well and quite a hard finish.

There are an amazing collection of colours including lots of whites. Stark white is probably the one for you by the look of your board.

I did a bit of reading up and understand the epoxy issue but my board was no where near that damaged. I initially tried a touch up pen but the brush marks were awful. I eventually went with Acrylic spray thanks Termite.
Worked a treat and is now flatted an polished up.. Ready for the weekend... It's not completely invisible but it's bloody good for an amateur.

A sticker was my first thought

Stickers do not work well with SUPs, because of the air freely moving in the EPS core: with temperature variations you will get air pressure build from the inside that will unglue the sticker enough to let the air get out... and the water get in, often in a tiny path not easily spottable.

The dramatic part is of course, when you put the board is the water, its cools rapidly, sucking hard on the dent, now under water...

Avoid stickers. Use some quick epoxy putty, 5 minute epoxy, solarez... if you want a quick fix to be able to surf immediately. You can then sand it when you will do the proper repair.

On paints, apply some automotive clear varnish afterwards to protect the paint. Also car touch up pens are great for painting over small dings (paddle hits)

Then when you collect enough of them and/or suffer a decent ding, take to friendly board repair guy and get the whole thing freshened up.
