Thanks Towny & Lacey.
I thought Downwinder was mentioning up to 25km/hr in seriously good downwind conditions in Hawaii, with loads of glide... ???
(Seabreeze needs an internal search engine... !!! Or is there one, that I'm not aware of ?)
I think the best equaliser is river conditions, with minimal wind and current, or at least head out and come back, which goes a fair way to canceling wind, tide, currents, etc.

Edit;
here's the apology to Downwinder.... Sub 5 minute k's, so yeah, that's 12km/hr. Not 25km/hr as I mentioned above... !!
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=65465Found it !! Sub 5 kilometers !
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=65409Topping out at about 13km/hr.... This thread was funny !! Downwinder on the calculator, getting it pretty much correct. And Meahuna and Downwinder going at it !! Before the apology !!

But it doesn't answer the "flatwater no wind" question !
