Hi paddlers
Its time to replace my paddle im at a bit of a loss as to what size, brand, etc...
Mainly surf n foilling, good shoulders 49yrs,
6ft x 93kgs.
Paddle now is a 2011 starboard carbon enduro dont know the size.
Was thinking of going to about 90sqcm.
Maybe carbon.
What are you using?

Hi scuba Steve, I have ke Nalu konihi 84...2 bung shoulders, 90kg. Best paddle I have used. Super light and beautiful flow through water. Also have a jimmy Lewis (amazing flex) which has been great on shoulders as well as a starboard enduro (not sure of size but small blade.

nice entry paddle is the new enduro med or large blade carbon/balsa fix shaft around $250+ also around same price is Fanatic Bamboo carbon 50. Then med level price around $400-/+ and top-end $600-/+ (phew). If you want more shaft flex, get the carbon mixed shaft or full fibreglass shaft by Quickblade (not sure if they still make it) and the jimmy lewis Signature fibreglass Paddle $299 (I'm testing 73" length & weight 560g width 7 3/4' length 15.5' around 80sq inch+).

I've had both and much prefer fixed. My 2 piece twisted sometimes when under pressure and i used to knock skin off on the clamp.
