Does anyone know how far the Hull Rppers are away from being released in Australia? It seems as the subject has fallen off the Radar! The Hull Paddler I bought is an amazing board. I can't wait to try the "HR" as the improvement from the paddler has taken me up to about 60% of my potential. They maybe very easy to paddle and ride but are definitely not just for beginners. I've been sup/surfing for around 3 years now and have owned and tried quite a few boards. The stability yet looseness of these boards is awesome. I do however feel that a little less width such as the 'HR' provides could make this type of design the new benchmark! I don't know why I'm saying this, but I have no affiliations with anyone! (I'd Like to if you're reading this Blane) this is just a personal observation. A guy and his wife came up to me yesterday after a fairly bumpy but still productive session at Lorne in Vicco, and heaped praise upon my surfing. They said they had watched me for about an hour and a half! I laughed out loud in their faces in embarrassment, then apologised and said you should see what the good guys can do. But they were hooked, you could see it in their eyes. I expained that it takes a lot of flatwater paddling before you go surfing and then start off small, very small. Sorry I digress. Where the hell are the Hull Rippers

Just waiting for the log-jam of production to clear so our first order surfaces.
ETA September! I usually post when the boards are actually on the water, but I know there are quite a few crew wanting an update.

This is what is coming-

8'9” x 30 1/8” x 5 1/4” 8-9 Hull Ripper
Vol = 155L (Wide)

9'1” x 28 7/8” x 4 1/4” 9-1 Hull Ripper Pro
Vol = 127L Pro

9'2” x 30 3/4” x 4 1/4” 9-2 Hull Ripper
Vol = 155L

9'1” x 28 7/8” x 4 1/4” 9-1 Hull Ripper Pro
Vol = 127L Pro

9'2” x 30 3/4” x 4 1/4” 9-2 Hull Ripper
Vol = 136L

9'6” x 28 7/8” x 4 1/4” 9-6 Hull Ripper Pro
Vol = 130L Pro

9'6” x 30 1/2” x 4 3/8” 9-6 Hull Ripper
Vol = 145L

9'11” x 31” x 4 1/4” 9-11 Hull Ripper
Vol = 150L

Pro are just that - for guys who normally ride under 28.5" or less in width.
These boards ride shorter and paddle longer than the same board with traditional flat bottom shapes.

Longer boards later this year.

One of the most exciting developments I have seen since 2007, when I saw Blane with his proto of the 9'3 Ripper. Back then 11'6 - 12' was the standard and 10'6 was a shortboard!

Hey AA,
Are those dimensions for the 8.9 correct? It's very thick and consequently has more volume than the 9.11.

Yes, the Volumes are estimates only- ball park - sorry. We await confirmation on actual volumes. As these boards are a 'whole new ball game' I wouldn't hang too much on the volumes as it can be misleading when you have a new design.
We will be releasing more info on these boards - how they ride, how they perform over the coming weeks. Even a video I believe ....... stay tuned

just a minor nitpick, in 2007 we had already molded production PVC sandwich 7'7" boards in France...

But I agree, it is great to see true innovators like Blane still exploring new paths. These Hulls seem so sweet!

First pics of the new Hull Rippers with team graphics!

We have a small selection arriving in 2 weeks with more coming not long after.
They wont be here for the Noosa demo unfortunately (but we will have the new 9'7 and 10'2 Hull AA's and Rippers there).

We will have our demo boards up Forster way September 16 and 17 and of course at the Corona!

Also just had confirmation that the 12'6 Gun Ripper and the 14' will be here later this year/early 2012. Yeew!
