On the long journey from Sydney to Noosa, I stopped off at a gentle pointbreak, met Rod Hocker (Boardbumps) and tested out the brand new PSH 9'3" Ripper that I was transporting for Lummers (Allrounder). Some fun little waves on a great board were had just as the sun was setting.

Here's a little vid of the session:

A full review to come (when AA lets me have a few more surfs on his demo 9'3" Ripper) but for now, just let me say, this is a great board with good stability, great paddling glide and awesome flow through turns.

This board is so sick, im still waiting on getting it back. I had to freight it back from noosa. I had some sick sessions. this board is so sweet top to bottom, and feels like it just wants to be thrown around. I will get a video up once i get it. Im hoping to get some sick swells over winter on the new red beast. If any one sees some one out on a ripper, you must ask to try it. It will open your mind up.

Looking good casso Hows it stack up against the Naish 9 3" ? You should have tried One of Rods boards, did a 5 hr sess on the 8 6" today, loving it

They are both great boards. Subtle differences. Depends on your personal preferences. Hard to choose, if you had to.

I was going to but wanted to try the PSH out before I handed it over to Lummers. I was planning on catching up with Rod again on the trip back down the coast - but then the tide was wrong for the beaches that were getting swell. Next time.

It was only small but picks up the swell slightly more than your point.

The PSH is a little bit more stable than the Naish.

PSH = 9'3" x 28 3/8" x 4 1/4"
Naish = 9'3" x 29 1/4" x 4 1/2"

But due to the plan shape, I'd say there is a bit less foam in the Naish overall.

Hmmmm. Now that would be nice. I'd probablly have to improve on 9th place at Noosa before they'd do anything like that though.

Mate its not only about the numbers,its stature,profile,and how they want their product portrayed.I reckon you would be a great ambassador for any SUP manufacturer.Come on AA,sign this guy up before someone else gets hold of his talent?

Casso that is awesome! What weight are you? (if thats not too personal a question)
Hilly and I have the 9'6 wide ripper and 9'6 wide AA arriving out west in the next day or so.
I'm thinking it might be a little tricky for me anyway at 100kgs?

I'm 83kg.

Either of the 9'6" wides will be fine for 100kg, I reckon ... but you won't stay 100kg for too long if you get plenty of water time in on a 9'6" (especially with lots of choppy days). Just another added bonus of dropping a few inches off your board length.
