According to SUPracer, no leggie, no PFD, no dice.

And they are even strongly advising helmets. What a year for there to be no video coverage. FFS.

Put them all in sumo suits...so they really don't hurt each other (although drowning a possibility..once got thrown in a pool with a gorilla suit on, not my idea of a giggle )

Good to see they have said there will be pfd's available free of charge for all competitors, so no one has to miss out on racing if they don't have one.
Also, as much as wearing a helmet while racing feels a bit weird, it looks like a pretty good idea given the conditions. The racing is stacked with the best paddlers from around the world, but that also means plenty of top paddlers who aren't used to big surf! Looking forward to seeing pics of the carnage... But hoping no one gets too badly hurt.

I hope you got in early then :) ...and everyone manages to get one to race tomorrow when everyone starts together (I guess a bunch of paddlers would have their own anyway).

Doesn't surprise me about Pete!!! Did he finish (no time on the results but there's usually a few chips that don't work).

Good luck Keale!!!
