Ticked a long time dream off my bucket list last night.
Accomplished a ocean down wind run from Marcoola to Alexandra Headland around 10km, 2km out to sea on the Sunshine Coast (Aust) in the dark. It had been blowing 20 knots all day with some big bumps and the forecast was to continue all night... So it was time to do something crazy. It was a total surreal feeling, the only way to describe it would be, imagine surfing down a wave with that feeling you are standing still and only seeing the bumps on the nose of your board....... It was mind bending and I'm already planning my next night session.
