Here's a pic taken from surf.co.nz of Sumner Beach on Tuesday afternoon. Had an awesome session in some decent size waves with only a handful of guys out.
As many waves as you wanted and 4-6ft sets. I don't think the photo is of me, I'm skinnier?
My Luke Short Designs 8'8 handled the conditions great too!
You can just see a surfer paddling out to the right of the peak, showing the size of the waves. It doesn't get this big very often around here without gale force winds as well.
