I mostly paddle my Aussies downwind boards between ballina and the sunshine coast wondering if they would be doing good in hawai as everybody says it's different.
So instead of renting a board I brought 1 over.
Straight of the airport direction north and I just had time for a little one before sunset.
Just a mild wind in the back but to pass along behind sunset,pipe and waimea was already interesting
Tomorrow direction diamond head....

Today I did a downwind from Sandy Beach (4km east of china wall) to Kaimana about 18km and it was really good even if I could have done with more wind at some stages.
Tomorrow morning back to the airport but the board stays here
Starting thursday the conditions for the hawai kai will be unreal for some days and I wont be there anymore to enjoy it but at least we will get some feedback from the locals as they will use the board. For the moment I must admit they are pretty stoked when they see it or try it.

Hey Alain,

That pic of you with China wall in the background looks great. The board fits really nicely in the trough and there is very little wash both up front and at the back. Is that board the same as my orange one, as it looks pretty similar?

I will be there in mid Dec so unless the surf is cranking I would like to go borrow that board (if its available).
