Hi Crew. Im starting my small business in NZ, Waihi Beach Sup and Kayak. I will be running the usual sup business, rentals and coaching/lessons...however. Im working on the SUP travel side of things especially from February through to late may. Don't be fooled by the thoughts of cold water, we were in board shorts or a spring suit from December through to mid May on this coast. This area absolutely pumps and is perfect for Stand Up Paddle surfing, especially SUP long boarding and Sup foil, there are two fun and beginner friendly wing foil spots too. Im working on getting a little Air Bnb or cool Caravan so crew can fly over and stay and we can chase conditions, as well as a zodiac boat because there are some epic waves around the surrounding headlands and of course the famous Matakana Island. this is more likely to kick off in 2027. So forget crowded Bali...Waihi Beach is uncrowded and it pumps! Daily activities could be Sup surfing, wing foiling, Foiling behind the boat, missions up the Coromandel coast, fishing. Im trying to get a few 10ft boards for crew to use so you all can travel with out bringing boards or you can just bring a short sup and foil gear. again a slow process but I can see me being fully set up to kick off the 2027 summer of fun season.
Im happy to take some bookings for 2026, was even looking at setting up a tent in the back yard for crew to stay in for those who are happy with 1 star accomodation but scoring super fun uncrowded sessions. I just want to share my new home which is a true SUP paradise.
Latam airlines are pretty good to fly with you can bring 10ft boards with a 3 board limit, I think its $150 US each way for boards, only downside is they only fly out of Sydney.

Thanks. Waihi Beach Sup And Kayak will be launching early December. by 2027 should have a little studio accomodation on my property and with a bit of luck an IRB to chase waves around with crew who come to NZ and stay. first things first though.
Locals already do! my goal is to see how many I can cover to SUP then foil. bit of a longboard style wave on smaller days so perfect for crew to cross over into SUP.
