Hi mate, I have a 9x32 Maddog and have had no issues with it. Seems very well made and after nearly a year of use its holding up very well.
Even after I surfed onto a nearly dry rock shelf and destroyed the fins, the board took no damage, including the fin boxes.
The only marks on the board after a year are a few small paint chips on the tail just after the rail tape ends.
The Maddog impressed me so much the I also brought a 10x29 Nalu, I did crease the first one by not pulling off a very punchy wave over a shallow sand bar.
Any board left in that spot would have had a problem. Indeed the second wave snapped two fins clean off at the base and still the fin boxes where not damaged. My brother in law is repairing the board now to use for himself.
I like the Nalu so much that I replaced it straight away with another, such is my belief in the Naish build quality and more importantly the performance of the boards. I would recommend Naish boards to anyone, and I paid for all my boards and am not affiliated with any shop, importer or Naish in anyway.
Hope that helps.
Stephen.
