Interested in opinions on which you would choose if choosing one (I am on Monday, hence my interest). The main use will be BOP Style with the odd DW. They look to have similar profiles in rocker from the images but I am yet to see it in the flesh.

12'6 Glide: 30" wide and 5 and 5/8 Thick.

12'6 Jav: 28" and 1/4 wide and 5 and 5/8 Thick.

I find the white Fanatic (30" wide) too wide and have been on the 14'Glide for a couple of years (27" and 1/4 wide) and find it stable. I have paddled the 12'6 DC which is 30" wide and it is fine. Does my head in on why both at the same width give such a different feel to the width of your stroke.

Anyone had a chance to demo both yet.

Haven't seen or paddled either but I'd be most interested to try the Jav.

Jav 12'6 is the 3rd board from top in this pic - it has that sexy as underslung bow....I wouldn't hesitate - go for Jav unless downwinding is your main thing.

The new Naish site shows the new 12'6 boards (Jav and Glide) with the funky new nose treatment, the 14 Jav doesn't have it. The one closest to camera looks like the 14 Jav, furthest from Camera would be one of the new 12'6 units.

I think out of those five Naish boards four are 14' Jav's and only one is the 12'6".

Yeah, yeah.. I see all seven..

I'm talkin' bout the five yellows in a row.. So IMO it's the new 12'6" then four 14's and then the Cat and another 14 closest to us..

Have you seen them down there yet. I think you will get them a day or two before us. I am swinging towards the Jav.

I have taken out the 9'5" in some messy conditions and it is super stable. Thinking of getting rid of the 9' for the 8'5" and then have the glassy day or competition day board and the 9'5" for the messy onshore day when you just want to relax and have fun.

I've pipped you DJ! Dropped into my friendly local SUP shop for a social call late this arvo just as the boys were cracking the Glide and Jav out of their boxes...up close they look (and feel) freaking amazing. Slick, slick lines and super light in the carbon build...can't wait to fall off one

(didn't have a camera with me tho, you'll have to go see them for yourself )

You will love the 9'5" Hokua at your weight. It was made for the bigger guy who can surf. I am 83kg now and find it really stable and great to surf. Turns rail to rail really well and is fast on the wave face. I am using it as a thruster. Totally recommend it as one of the top boards I have been on.

The 9' is a bit looser but you loose stability with it. Same thing when you go to the 8'5" as it is looser then the 9' but again the stability is slightly less.

I was 95 -96 kg on the 9' and loved how it surfed but at that weight i was sinking it especially in choppy conditions. Now it floats well and the stability has increased with the lose of weight.

Thinking of selling the 9' for the 8'5" and use the 9'5" for the blown out days.

When I find something I like and trust I stick with it until it lets me down. I make nothing from sup and am paying for my board. I like Naish boards as they surf well, are light and very strong for a production board. They are also relatively easy to resell and hold there value as you know exactly what you are going to get as it is easy to find reviews and opinions on the brand. I have nothing against any brand just stick to what I know. Have worn the same brand of runners for 15 years. I own both Naish and Laguna boards. Sold my 14' Glide to buy this.

I've got a 9' Naish Hokua and have had it for about 9 months. It's a great board and really loose on the wave but at 6'2" and 85kg, I find it a bit tippy at times and have to swap to my more stable SB 9'1 pro if I get tired or the conditions are choppy.

I got to try the 9'5" at the Noosa sup expo last week and found it to be very stable (not quite as stable as my SB 9'1" pro), but still super loose (not quite as loose as the 9'0").

Seriously considering trading in both my SB and 9'0' for a board that suites all conditions. One that has the best of both worlds in one board.
