For anyone who is bored, here are some flatwater pics (no paddlers actually in the images as I was on my own).

It was a cold winter's morning with a swell report that said flat as! So off I went with the camera for my daily paddle up the river.

Been learning how to use picasa web for photos so hope the link below works???

I think you might need to copy & past the above into your browser.

Thanks DJ,

Glad to hear the link & picasa are all working correctly. I was pretty pleased with the photo you picked out. Nothing compared to your photo journals, but it's a fun way to make the same old paddle a bit more interesting.

Wished I had the camera 2 days ago: we were looking back from our little surf spot to the village and there was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen, touching the ground at both ends, with the township in the middle underneath! would have made the best shot ever!

Great photos Mel. Thanks. Ali would have loved to be out there in those little waves with you. It looks so easy - small and glassy with an easy paddle out.

Hey Casso,

Bring her down here! It was perfect out there today! Had it all to myself as usual for 2 hours of perfect little waves before the wind picked up around 11.30.
There is basically no 'paddle out' as you can just go around the waves and come into the take off spot from the side. Even easier if you go left and then cruise the outgoing tide back out there! (although the waves are a little nicer on an incoming tide).

So glad Ali is now hooked!
See you soon

Hey Rodriguez,

We are about 30 minutes north of Sussex Inlet. If you are coming to Sussex, JB is well worth the drive. Heaps of whales about at the moment (a couple of reasonably priced tour boats run out to the heads), crystal clear water and loads of wildlife both in the water and out. We disturbed this big fellow lounging in someone's garden on our paddle home the other day!

OMG that surfing kangaroo vid is a pisser!!! That is the most WTF thing I've seen in a long time and then the interview with the bizarre guy that rescued it to top it off. - Good Find Gorgo
