Yeah looks the goods....Phil .as a pro...you ....just a question ..in the last 2 -3 years has gear got alot better than board of say 3 years ago
if yes is it the shape ,length ,or is it the concaves under Neath or all of the above .
are we getting faster ...and are the board s easier to use in such a short time ..just curious ..

My new V3 has the same Rocker/concave as my V1 because the Glide on my V1 is awesome

2-3 years not much has changed only the Nose Entry My New V3 Nose is a lot more narrower with no nose lift (my measurements are a secret at the moment) the production V3 has a lot wider nose but way narrower nose and no nose lift like the V1

The SIC V1 Bullet is the best Downwind Board ever to be made because a Novice will have as much fun on a V1 Bullet as an Elite Paddler would, guaranteed.

The SIC V1 Bullet has won more Podium Finishers than any other board on the Planet.

But the V3 is the Ants Pants at least a kilometre plus faster over say a Ten kilometre run than the V1 in Ocean Swells.

Hope I've answered your question Tardy I'd talk story better over a Beer, hopefully next March when I come see you on Lord Howe Island, we go surf.

Mark Raaphorst has never used a machine (Old School) Mark Raaphorst Hot Wires the bottom cure then shapes the board using the stencils as you see in the video. Mark Raaphorst has a very good eye for detail - thats why they call Mark Raaphorst the "Mad Scientist"

Mark Raaphorst is a GENIUS when it comes to shaping. A True Master Craftsman.

When I was a teenager the best surfboard shaper in Newcastle Sam Egan (and is a very close friend) let me into his shaping bay so I could watch him shape. A few years back Sam Egan shaped boards for 30 of the top 35 pro surfers on Tour guys like Andy Irons, True Story. Sam Eagan is rated as one of the best surfboard shapers on the Planet. Sam Egan has a very good eye to Detail.

Look at the Nose on this Board Mark Raaphorst help Dave Kalama shape. My V3 nose will be identical to this, I've paddled this board it's a weapon of a board it just knifes through the swells without slowing down (Stoked), but it's too long at 19ft and the tail is too wide e.g. dog of a thing, I mean Tail.

This is my SIC Custom 17'6'' V1 Bullet it's a magic board I won the solo over 40's at 48yo M2O in 2010 on this board. I'll never sell her she's a weapon of a board. Plus it's the only one of it's kind in Australia.

and Yes always my camp trademark paint scheme.

I'm gunna get lost on that thing. Any chance of putting in dual steering for a goofy.

But of cause lacey everybody does it, using a machine to shape Blanks it's the 21 century

Anybody can even the biggest kook thats no good with his hands can shape a board using a machine

But there's only a handful of Talented surfboard Shapers like you've seen in the video above world wide that can shape a Board from start to finish using a square piece of foam.

It's a dying trade.

STOKED!!!! Picking up my new 2016 SIC Bullet 17-4 on Thursday.. It's been a loooong wait. just in time for summer here in the Northern hemisphere which means flat glassy water until the winds of Fall in late Sept. No matter. The best things are worth waiting for.
