So joining Naish,a C4 Waterman, an Angulo from Paddle Shack and a LSD from Walk On Water we have,from SUPlove a new 8'10" Performance board

Bigger??? or just more generous?? Bearing in mind that back when it was windsurf only there were a few events up around 200 competitors.

But I agree, 5 boards up for grabs is huge!!!

Going to the event for the first time since being here in Oz, looking forward to the SUP and Kiting. How is the SUP comp going to work or be judged?

it will be judged by best 8 waves go to your overall score
with an 80% weighting shortboard to longboard style
airs score double
paddle twirling deducts 47 %
solid carves weight up overall score by 55% on the longboard, 65 % on the shortboard (sub 9ft)
plus a multiplier out of 10 for overall impression

with the 2 top and 2 lowest scores removed (to remove the bias from the german and the spanish judges)

multiplied again by the number of hours spent at the pub divided by 1 over the number of Coronas consumed per night on average

with a final overriding judgement to be made by the local Ocean Freemason society

Nice!! I'm glad they've simplified the judging, It can be so confusing sometimes

The boys at the Ocean Freemason Society have asked for a capital "S" on Society !!
Now the judging criteria is cleared up, may the Corona flow quickly !
Spanish & German judges influence was the icing on the cake !!

Multiplied by hours spent on water, divided by 1 over Coronas consumed on average, should be about;
6 divided by (1/10) should be a multiplier of 60 !! That's where the serious points are sitting !!
