Sounds like timing might be an issue to get that direction change right, but I'm lovin' that 25 to 35 knots and 2.5 metre swell !! Bring it on

do any of you guys suffer with feet that go numb on those longer paddles ? Ive tried wiggling toes and lifting heels,but after about 1.5 hours even in sealed booties the feet feel like bits of material on the end of legs!!may be cold, not sure ,just dead feet Any remidies ? [ keep it nice!!]

If you're doing a long flat water paddle try wearing Crocs.. They're great (and don't smell) but if you surfing or down-winding were you need to move your feet quick you will need proper booties.

Towards the end of yesterdays 3hr paddle my bare feet were starting to get pretty numb either from the cold or standing so long without many rests or position changes.

I try to move my feet as often as I can to keep the blood flowing.. I think it's something that you get used to and gets better when you learn to relax your feet.

Check this little warning video from BOM, via The Age.... That forecast Low ripping across Vic in a very unusual direction.... I wouldn't be venturing too far from land with that unknown weather pattern....

At least the forecast change will blow us onshore if we start on a Northerly and it suddenly goes West, the beauty of Port Phillip is so many beaches to land on if we have to. (almost said 'the bay' don't want to stir up Planesailing!)

Sunday is maybe a possibility too with a very strong Westerly forecast, could be a repeat of the of the Pt Cook to Sandringham or Green Point adventure I missed out on last time.

Pretty sure one way or another we will end up cold and wet

That was a epic paddle DJ. How was the current that day ?did you have ebb or flood on those crossings? And how did that effect on your abillity to land at a nominated desination? Did you do that solo?Was it summer?
Sorry for all the questions but very interested. Similar to what im doing ,but my paddling sessions are no where near as far as that. About 1hr after work and 2hr sessions on weekends
Yes crocs are great, been in em for years on land..,and summer on sup will be good,but to cold for crocs now for me! Yes only just starting to be able to move around while paddleing,so feet may loosen up soon!!

Thanks 62mac, doesn't quite have the room of the old long wheel base veedub transporter but it sure is comfy And hopefully more reliable

Yes I was going to ask you about the room factor,I've owned 4wds since 1991 and only a couple of months ago down seized for a sports wagon which took some time to get used too.
