Looking at buying one of these. Just wondering if anyone has one. Just want to know if they are worth it. Im interested in the 9'6. I here people talking about them but have never seen any in the water.

Cheers

Welcome tingles.. Where are you?.. you should demo one before buying.. and maybe also demo a few other options.

Also.. how heavy are you.. and what do you paddle now or will this be your first SUP board?

I fit into the stats of the Mc Tavish 9'6. Im 6'2 and about 95kg. Its my second sup. I can not demo one as I live remotely on the west cosat of Tas. No shops and I dont think there are many sups in Tas full stop except a place in Bicheno whom has no stock

Hi Tingles,
The 9'6" McTavish will be perfect for you given your size etc. I am 80kg and riding the 9'0"and a mate Peter has the same board 9'0" and he is 86kg and loving it. If you can get up to the Gold Coast or Sunny Coast yell out and I will organise a Demo for you. There was a Demo yesterday at Mermaid Beach and the board had great reviews.

G'day Tingles,
I understand it's not just around the corner, but we do have a demo McTavish 9'0" at RPS. [ Melb, Elwood]. So if you're ever on the mainland/Melb, feel free to drop past and have a demo paddle on it!

Cheers

Have had the ninesix for a few months now
I weigh 87kg
3 years experience on 11'6" naish single fin. 25 years surfing.
Having lots of fun on the MacT and recommend it highly. The rails look very full but it surfs smooth, rail to rail. The flyers work great too.
