From reading some reviews. I heard that having the mast connected behind the H4 wing works best. But I just found that my Slingshot China knock off hasn't got the threaded holes behind the wing.
So will try as is with mast above the wing. So has anyone got theirs up & running like this?
Also wondering if this is the case. Then why did Slingshot design for the mast to be above the wing?
Anyway. Hope to get it out this week. Lol!

Haven't seen a Chinese copy come close to an original yet , but as Surfcowboy said it's the wind foil position behind the wing. Post a pic of what you have got.

Surfed it today for first time & was pleasantly surprised how it got up on the plane in a controlled, stable manner. It took me about an hour to get enough courage to catch a 2 foot plus wave. After that. I caught quite a few in the next hour until the wind got too strong & leg muscle too sore. Lol.
Obviously too early to learn the pump. And this is where the mast may have to be bolted away from the wing on the fuselarge.
But I did at one time get my back foot further back & it seemed to be easier to pump upwards to get up & running.

That does look like a Slingshot H4 set up where did you get it from ? Very short board mast mount looks too far forward but see you have a wedge to offset rocker.

Yeah. Board is a 7ft Coreban Hyper or Wahine, both the same profile. I don't think Coreban makes them anymore. But I think it will make a great foil board. It's a great SUP for dumpy waves due to its excessive nose rocker.
I analyzed the location of the track mount installation & found I may have to compromise between excessive tail rocker & board length. But found most track mounts are located just in towards the tail from the first side fins.
The board seems to ride very comforable & flat.
I put the foil mast more forward as I heard it gives better lift without the need for pumping on your first learning to foil.
Oh! And the foil was found on ebay by Bluewater. But dont think it is listed anymore. Cost $900. Could have got it for half that price if I knew where they were made. Lost the receipt from the manufacturer, supplier. But quite sure its from China.
